Upgrade Announcement
On August 22, ScoutTrack will be upgraded to a new modernized interface. These new features are also being introduced:
- more flexible email message addressing and the ability to send a message as a text or email (or both)
- ability to see email sent by you (and to you) in the last 30 days. For email that you send, you can also see the deliverability status for each recipient
- when marking an activity “done”, the person who records it is recorded and displayed. The location (den/patrol vs home distinction) is being removed
- improved printing with a “print” icon that works better in modern browsers
- when leaders export data, a single XLS file with multiple tabs is downloaded instead of individual TSV files inside a ZIP file
- for non-LDS Cub scouting, Girl scouting and American Heritage Girls, you can now promote individuals to the next rank or level without having to use the “elevator den” technique
- youth and adult management has been simplified - it can be done from one spot without having to know which den/patrol/level/squad they are in
- new Help system with a searchable database for better self-help prior to submitting a request to Technical support.
There is a “getting used to the new ScoutTrack.com” tab that shows you where functionality provided by the “old” main screen links can be found in the new interface. Once you are comfortable with the new interface, you can disable the displaying of this transition tab.
For those accessing ScoutTrack from small screen mobile devices like smartphones, the older interface will be shown while a new mobile-optimized version is being developed.
If you would like to get an early look at the new interface, you can go here: https://www.scouttrack.com/ST2
After the interface switch is made, the older interface will be available for a while here: https://www.scouttrack.com/ST1
Once this new interface is in place, several new features will be developed:
- mobile-optimized version
- RSVP support for events
- individual scout account tracking
